I have been here a coup of times and finally can say this place is overrated with confidence. To be honest, a bit sad myself because it is from Taiwan and the interior and all the details even the stickers on the cups are so well designed.
I have had:
1. Salted Cream Green Tea
2. Original Salted Cream Tea
3. Brown Sugar Pearl Latte
4. Sugar Cane Mountain Tea
And all of them are very average and definitely overpriced. Sugar cane mountain tea taste like regular oolong tea with some light sugar; Brown sugar pearl latte has decent boba but the drink itself just tastes like fresh milk very bland; Salted Cream Tea, let's not even go there. You can go to a lot of other places for better sea salt flavor boba.
I love the waiting staff. They always give back your receipt with both hands and have super calming voices. But really can't justify paying $6 per cup for not so great milk tea.

I felt like I wanted to drink a cup of bubble tea but most bubble tea options were sold out. So, I somehow got a cup of brown sugar pearl cocoa latte.
It seems quite good, right?
But the taste wasn't good: cocoa itself wasn't sweet enough to enjoy itself and pearls were relatively sweet so the drink as a whole were like a composition of completely different 2 things, pearls and a cup of cocoa latte.
As a result, I felt as if I were drinking a cup of bitter cocoa latte and eating pearls separately although I should be able to enjoy 2 things in a drink simultaneously:(
The quantity was huge but the price was like $6.5 so it may reflect the price.
In short, I don't recommend Brown Sugar Pearl Cocoa Latte at this store

Quality of drinks are in line with other Yifang locations (I live within 15mins of Stonestown, Colma, and Millbrae locations and get Yifang at least 2x/week)-- the Chinatown location is my lunchtime boba spot. Giving this Yifang 4 stars instead of 5 because the service here is slower than the other locations (yep, slower than Colma and Colma is the newest location!).
Yifang is popular for Brown Sugar Lattes (with and without tea), but my go-to's are:
- Orange Green Tea (I like it at 30% sugar, but it's a better sweetness at 50% for most given the fresh orange juice is sometimes sour)
- Kiwi Fruit Tea (50% sugar is the lowest and is perfect for me, but similarly, the fresh kiwi is sometimes sour)
-Sugarcane Mountain Tea (when it's in season, 30% sugar) because it's unique to Yifang
When I am feeling a milky drink, I like the Taro Green Tea Latte (full sugar on this one because it's a fresh homemade taro paste and it's sometimes not sweet at all). I do not recommend milk teas (tea latte) or cremas from Yifang because I find them too watery and the crema does not have a clean crisp creamy taste (can't explain, but it's nowhere near as good as Happy Lemon or even 85C's seasalt cremas), plus there are better places for those, especially around Chinatown (e.g. I-tea).
